Real Stories from Our Students
I have been an OT for 8 years and have always worked in pediatrics. I loooove being an OT, but had recently began to feel like I needed to pivot into a different area of practice. I came across this program after doing quite a bit of research, and I am so happy that I did. I joined the Level 1 Functional Pelvic Health Practitioner program and I am a changed OT. This course is so wonderful. It is very comprehensive, you become part of an amazing community, and receive supportive mentorship. I highly recommend.

I decided to join the OT Pioneer program as a way to begin my educational journey toward becoming a holistic pelvic health private practice owner. As someone in their late 40s I am personally invested in gaining more knowledge and skillsets to address my own concerns and health needs - knowledge is power. This is simply step one, followed by trauma-informed pelvic health practitioner certification and in-person learning at the summit this coming September in Phoenix, AZ. I CANNOT WAIT!

Joining this program was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I had been following Lindsey for a long time, even back when I was still in grad school. I joined her Facebook group and was always so impressed by the supportive, uplifting community she created and the way she showed up for everyone. When I finally decided to pivot my career, I knew without a doubt that Lindsey was the mentor I wanted by my side. What impressed me the most about this program is the ongoing support from both Lindsey and the community. You can really feel how much heart and effort she’s poured into it. The amount of knowledge and resources she shares is incredible, and the best part is, I have access to it for life! Before joining, I was worried that I wouldn’t feel confident enough to actually make a career shift. But this program changed that. I feel supported, empowered, and ready to take on this new path. If you’re considering signing up, do it! You won’t regret it.

I decided to join this program because it is a trauma course geared specifically for Pelvic Health OTs made by OTs. I am enjoying this program so much because it gives use concrete interventions and the ability to engage in the interventions ourselves so that we can gain a sense of what our clients will experience. At first, I was hesitant to join because I was taking another course at the same time and wasn't sure it would be manageable but the way it is structured has made it easy to keep up with the work and to be honest, it really doesn't feel like work. I love being able to deep dive into the emotional aspects of pelvic health and this course does not disappoint!

Lindsey has done an excellent job of creating a course where OTs can get a firm foundation on pelvic health! This course gives practical information so an OT can build a practice. This course packs in a lot of information and presents this information in a concise manner. You will learn how to lead a client through body awareness, mindful breathing, an overview of the endocrine system and anatomy, gender inclusive language, learning from case studies all while learning from Lindsey and other experts in this field. I believe every OT would benefit from taking this course.

Lindsey was a phenomenal educator and I knew her manual lab would be exceptional (and it was!!!!). I was, initially, nervous to take this lab because I thought I’d be in a room full of pelvic health OTs that were more advanced in their career than me...but I was WRONG! All of the providers that took this course were on my level, and those that were above, were SO helpful and so great to learn from. I loved the structure of the lab, with majority actually being so hands on, with so much practice to learn from. Lisa did a phenomenal job of keeping us interested, engaged, and motivated! If you’re on OT considering taking this lab, DO IT. I walked out of this lab actually FEELING confident and knowledgeable enough to take on my FIRST pelvic floor patient.. and that is incredible for me!!!
