You're invited to learn how you can maintain a healthy core and pelvic floor throughout your pregnancy (and beyond).

You will learn the ABCs (Awareness, Breath, and Coordination) of optimal core function. You'll also learn why doing a million kegels simply doesn't work. Topics include:

  • Why and how your pelvic floor is critical to a successful delivery and recovery

  • How to care for your pelvic floor during and after pregnancy

  • Demystify the kegel and “reverse” kegel

  • What birth positions may be best for you

  • Head-start of post-partum care

Your host is Ashley Brichter of Overwhelming Moments. The event is produced by Lindsey Vestal, MS, OTR/L of the Functional Pelvis and Ashley Brichter.

The Functional Pelvis, Inc. is a private occupational therapy practice, working to passionately bridge pelvic floor rehabilitation with lifestyle modifications while addressing the psychological impact that pelvic floor issues have on our everyday lives. Instructor, Ashley Brichter, is a Certified Cooperative Childbirth Educator through CEA/MNY,  Certitied Lactation Counselor, and Birth and Postartum Doula trained in Comforting Touch for Labor, Rebozo Techniques for ChildbirthDream Birth Imagery, and Spinning Babies and is a Pelvic Health and Body-Alignment Enthusiast. She has studied with Lindsey Vestal, founder of The Functional Pelvis, and is pleased to be offering this fundamental workshop across NYC.
